Well, hmmm. I'm currently evolving. Into what, not so sure. I am a genuinely nice person with some ironic bad habits. No, I won't list them, but if you are around me long enough, you will see them.
I was born in El Paso, Texas. Where I grew up was once part of Mexico. My daddy's grampa was born in Spain, so on that side we are considered Hispanos, but we apparently also have some Apache. On my mom's side, we are also Hispanos but we refer to ourselves as Mejicanos. My sibs and I were raised with a traditional latin upbringing, but I am the most active sibling in our community and speak Spanish fluently.
Because my daddy was a Marine, we moved to North Carolina and all over California, and then back to Texas. As a result of this experience, we learned to make friends, and we have always been a strong family unit.
We have developed an appreciation for the human condition which allows us to be open to many kinds of people. We are Americans with a link to our cultural past.
As a family, we support our troops. We have a long history of military appreciation: my daddy and brother were in the military, and my sister and I married former military. All of my uncles on both sides served in Vietnam, except the youngest on my daddy's side. Although we support our troops, we have our own political opinions on the War in Iraq.

I'm a mom. My son, Joseph, is 7-years-old and is very bright. He loves to sing, dance, and drum. I also recently took in a 15-year-old who is the son of a friend of mine, and his name is Rhys. Rhys likes to make things with his hands and can be very clever.
We have a Border Collie, named Hulkie, who will be 3 on November 8th. Hulkie is a good-natured dog who is very loyal.
I'm a theosophist. Don't ask me what that means, because it is as nebulous to explain to others as Unitarianism, but suffice it to say that I have a moral and religious grounding for my life and in my life.
As far as political ideology, I am very, extremely liberal. That doesn't mean that I don't have an open mind.
I am a left and right brained person. I get the art and the science. Generally, that means I can strike up a conversation with almost any total stranger. This is a family trait along with listening to Queen, reading sci fi, and participating in Amtgard.
What is Amtgard? It is a medieval, live action role playing game (LARP). It is recreational. Don't strain your brain, it's just a lot of fun. In order of joining, our names are: Elena (Dru-Kara; BL; 1990); sister, Liz (Lathara; formerly BL but now IM; 1991); brother, Manny (Pirhana; BL; 1996); daddy, Tom (G'Kar, BL; 1997); and nephew, Wesley (Cloud, IM; 2006). Other family members have participated in events, but as of yet do not have persona names.
I absolutely detest girl/guy collectors and online "get rich quick" profiles. If you are either, please don't try to FRIEND me. Just send me an email... if I like you, I'll FRIEND you.
Also, I don't mind meeting new people, but if you are going to have an empty profile, at least send me an email introducing yourself. Empty profile=cyberstalker in my book.
